I love it! Never thought about the international covers before. My favorite would have to be Germany's. Now they know how to put a cover that catches the eye, huh?

Cool post. I love comparing covers.

I like Romania and Germany and the UK :) I have the UK ones (being in Australia) and both Katniss and Peeta are on the same book - you get to choose which cover you want, and then you can do this flicky-foldy thing and switch who is on the front cover. (so, that explanation sucked, but it basically means that you can choose for Peeta to the be the cover, then later on change it around so Katniss is on the cover.

I don't really get the US cover. maybe it looks better on the real thing, - but i dont think it's really capture my attention - although it is symbolic, I guess.

I like the US & Korean covers best. I own the UK version (being British), but I find the images of the characters too childish.

Germany's version is absolutely gorgeous, but I find that it looks too much like Scott Westerfeld's Uglies book... I also think that it encompasses the games better than the mickingjay pin that the other books have on them, but then again the pin really signifies the background to all three books.
Does that make sense?

Well, in my country Lithuania we have same cover as in Germany: the Hunger games http://www.knyguklubas.lt/index.php?cl=details&anid=cdb5199 ;
Catching fire (or in lithuanian - dangerous love) http://www.knyguklubas.lt/index.php?cl=details&anid=cdb9441 ;
and Mockingjay ( or flaming violence) http://www.knyguklubas.lt/liepsnojantis+ituzis+trecia+bado+zaidyniu+knyga.html
